Well it has been a productive week academically. I have not done anything all that interesting I can think of since my last update. However, I have quite a few links to talk about.

Before going into links, I have been reading a lot of computer technology news this week. I am quite excited about PCI-X, XP64 and DDR2. The fact PCI-X is 3 times faster then PCI and does not require slots means desktop computers can theoretically shrink to the size of a child's shoe box, since all that would have to fit on the motherboard would be Ram, CPU, CPU cooler, and Northbridge, the rest can be redesigned dramitically since serial connections are just a small cable. PCI-X will also dramatically increase the data through put for graphics cards. XP64 should be in SP1 by 2005 and will actually make all these 64 bit processors worth buying.

Since, its all the rage I must comment on the Janet Jackson boobie thing . I agree with the author in that link. When I first read about it I just laughed and thought, "Oh those crazy kids". Then I started reading the deluge of apologizes and I realized people were taking this as a serious threat to the children of America. Perhaps its my new fangled "international Perspective" talking, however to qoute the great Eric Cartmen, "What's the big Fuck'n deal Bitch". It's a boob, its not gonna bring down western civilization. With all the violence used to entertain kids there is not the remotest likelyhood that a single breast is ever going to matter.

Speaking of American Stupidity, have you heard about what Georgia is doing now? Yep, those thar rednecks are doing the US of A proud again. Georgia has removed "evolution" from its text books .

In case you missed the Secret Service also had a bout of the stupids. They did not report that the White House was mailed Ricin 5 days before the Senate got theirs . Being the Skeptic I am I really wonder why this wasn't reported ASAP, this administration thrives on FEAR so something is fishy that they wouldn't soak this golden oppertunity for all its worth politically.

At least it wasn't another media failure like this one. It turns out all the European flights that are being cancelled are not substaniated by any intellegence. Time magazine wrote a better article on this in their 2-2-04 Issue that is not online. Basically, the US is ordering British Airways and Air France to cancel flights without any good reasons. They also like to tail Air France with F 16's in case they get high jacked. (sounds like an airline subsidy, "Come fly the American Airlines that aren't tracked by doped up trigger happy flyboys")
