Live from the OC

So I moved down here on April 30th. It was good to spend time with Bill for a couple of days we don't get to do that very often anymore. I rented a Uhaul and spent the night in Bakersfield. I ended up getting a 16' truck which ended up being the right size, my stuff would not have fit in a 10'. I ended up only having 11 boxes, plus my furniture. I seemed to have only lost one box in the move.

The weeks leading up to the move were nice as I throttled down my work load and handed it over. This is the first time I have left a professional job on really good terms. I made sure to leave a lasting good impression on the leaders I would work for again.

Once, I got to my apartment, it has been problem after problem. My Oven and Dryer still suck. My fridge was missing when I moved in. The carpets need to be repalced. The shower was very slopply grouted. The washing machine leaks. Not to mention the amazing incompotence of the managerial staff, the mainteannce staff has been fast and great so far.

With that said, the job has been great. Plenty of time to work on one thing at a time. I am really enjoying it.

This last weekend, Cece flew out, and I took her to Dave and Busters and Redondo Beach to a Samba Brazillian BBQ place. We had a good time.

This weekend I have to start packing for Europe.
