Sorry, I know it has been a while. I have not been up to much, just working and preparing for my exams. I went to London from 24-28th and had a good time with my friend Ollie. There was satellite TV and I caught up with the Simpson’s. I have also decided I love taking the train, you sit and all you have to do enjoy the fast comfortable ride. I also took a cab to the train station and it was cool, they directly transferred my cellphone to the nearest cab.
On Monday I caused a huge scene in McDonald’s on London Road in Brighton when I did the unthinkable and took a picture of the menu. (I wanted to show how different they are here compared to the US) As soon as the flash went off the manager just about jumped the counter and started screaming he would call the police this was in front of at least 20 customers. Since he made an ass of himself I was willing to delete the picture to get my food. Fortunately, a subway has opened next door so that will be my first and last visit there.
I saw the new Russell Crowe Movie Commander in the East. I have been interested in 17-18th maritime history since I was 15. To the best of my knowledge that movie is grotesquely accurate. I enjoyed the action elements as well. Though I would only recommend to people interested in naval history since that is where the greatest entertainment value came from for me. I plan to see the new Lord of the Rings movie after my exams next week.
I also got an awesome xmas package from home. I am really enjoying everything. I finally got the Red Hot Chili Peppers “By the Way” album, it is excellent. I am thoroughly enjoying it a lyric to define the album would be “Love without Remorse”. I even like this album as a whole more then Californication. By the end of the summer I knew I was an logical socialist, but now I’m starting to sound like a Marxist Hippy *shudder*.
Well I need to get back to work on making flash cards. I’ll update next year.
