Hooray! Spring break has officially started. My next update might not be for another 10 days...
I decided to update today in response to all the UN resolutions. First the British one is the funniest. The first
condition is that Saddam must admit he has WMD. If Saddam does this, he would be authorizing a US attack. Also, and
more importantly this is a really pathetic request. "Gee, we can't prove you have WMD or give a good reason to attack your country. SO
could you be a sweetheart Saddam and please bear witness against yourself and give us an excuse to slaughter your people and steal your oil? Pretty please?"
This is also ironic because this would violate the 5th amendment if Saddam were being tried under US law, since we
don't make anyone testify against themselves they can take the 5th.
The other funny condition is the one about the unmanned drones Saddam supposedly has that can spread WMD. The
funny part is with the no fly zone, where exactly can Saddam launch these without them being intercepted and shot down in
minutes?
I also have to say that all this Anti-France propaganda is dumb. What is the point of pissing off France more?
The only reason it would be encouraged by Bush is to divert people's attention away from his lack of evidence of pursuing
war.
The link about Nuke waste on Indians lands I included because it has such dangerous consequences. The reason
companies want to do this is to subvert federal laws on storage of Nuke waste. Let me tell you, as soon as that
stuff is there on the land it will NEVER leave short of a miracle. This government doesn't give a shit about Indians
they have no moral agency. This is one more case of corruption screwing the people at the bottom.
Oh and another funny and ridiculous move by the Bush administration, the emergency summit in the Azores. The stated
purpose is to find a way to get a resolution. Here's a hint. IF YOU ARE HAVING A CONFLICT YOU NEED BOTH SIDES PRESENT
TO RESOLVE IT, not your two best friends! I also heard something that I thought was clever, the US has nothing but a
"Coalition of the Billing" i.e. we have to buy our only friends.
I also want to go on the record about actors protesting the war. IT IS A GOOD THING! The major networks won't even
allow anti-war PAID advertisements! This is one of the few ways the Anti-war movement can have a voice. I applaud actors
who protest the war. I would consider a boycott of the Oscars if I were nominated...
The first link is awesome. Congress is going to investigate the forged documents I mentioned in my last update
about Iraq trying to buy Uranium. Its an impossible dream, but I would love them to expose Bush for the lying zealot crook his
administration is and are working for.
