Obviously a lot has happened since my last update so this is going to be a long one. First, I saw "Cabin Fever". It was horrible; it was intended to be a standard tennie bopper movie. The problem is instead of going for the usual winning combination of Sex & Violence, they went for Sex & Gross out, BLECH! Plus the plot made no sense and they made the mortal sin of trying to do much at once and the comedic bits thrown in did not work at all.
I also Jackie Chan’s new movie, “The Meddalion” Standard Jackie Chan action, the beginning was akward in places overall it was good for him though.
I did get my laptop though I had to drive to Tracy and Modesto. It was worth it though. This is it, it was $700 after mail in rebate:
I also got my Targus backpack. I love this thing, fits the laptop perfectly and plenty of extra space. The silver thing on it is my new 128MB pendrive.
You probably also guessed I got my Digicam, I ended up getting the exact one I wanted for $120!
My last day of work was September 19th. Everything went smoothly and I left on good terms.
I went to Chico this last weekend. Adam & Trent had a party for me. I had a great time, Garret and Eric were there too.
I also finished reading “Skinny Legs and All” it was decent the ending did not disappoint. I also read “On Writing Well” by William Zinnser it was AWESOME! It was humbling to learn what a hack I was ^_^, at the same time though I learned a lot about how to write and I plan to reread the book before I start my Thesis. I plan to read “The Great Unraveling”, “Lying Liars…”, “Diary, a novel” and another Palahniuk book.
I also got a signed copy of “Best Democracy Money can Buy” from Greg Palast personally! I figured out his site was not crediting amazon.com orders to him.
Michael Moore has a new book coming out on October 7th, I’m going to pick it up ASAP.
I plan to start doing regular updates again, once I have a solid internet connection at Sussex. The next time you read this it will be posted from England. I'll
be leaving on Vigin Atlantic Flight 20 on Friday.
